BCI Understanding BCM Principles and Good Practice Training
A Business Continuity Institute (BCI) licensed course which provides a comprehensive overview of the different stages of the business continuity management (BCM) lifecycle.
The course is based on BCI's 'Good Practice Guidelines' and aligns to BS 25999 (the recently launched national Standard for Business Continuity Management). As such, the course is ideally suited to individuals who have been given business continuity responsibilities (possibly as part of a BS 25999 compliance or certification project). Delegates can take the five day course as a whole or sit individual day modules.
Course Deliverables
On completion of this course delegates will have a comprehensive understanding of good practices and principles associated with all the key stages of the BCM life cycle:
- Policy, Programme Management and Culture (covers 'BCM Programme Management' and 'Embedding BCM in the Organisation's Culture' of BS 25999 life cycle)
- Understanding the Organisation
- Designing Business Continuity Strategy
- Developing and Implementing a BCM Response
- Exercising Maintenance and Review.
On completion of the course, delegates will also be able to confidently sit the BCI Certificate Examination. Passing the examination will be a mandatory requirement for those seeking to become an ABCI (Associate), SBCI (Specialist) or MBCI (Member) with the BCI.
All delegates attending the course are eligible to become affiliate members of the BCI.
