SAM Practitioner Course, October 20095 Day Residential Course
In line with the requirements of BCS Professional Certifications (ISEB), 40 hours of software asset management training are provided by URM during the five days of the course.
The Practitioner Certificate in Software Asset Management (PCSAM) training course contains a significant proportion of practical hands on exercises designed to build on the taught component of the module and to encourage debate and sharing of knowledge and experience between delegates. URM trainers are all highly experienced software asset management specialists who call upon their practical knowledge to bring a real-world perspective to the classroom.
Course Material
Delegates who attend URM's PCSAM training course will receive a training pack containing copies of all course slides. With each slide URM's consultants have supplied supporting notes (approved by BCS Professional Certifications (ISEB)) that act both as a useful revision tool for the examination and a reference library after the course. The training pack will also include a full set of practical exercises which delegates will complete through the week's course.
Examination
The PCSAM examination is a three hour paper comprises of five scenario based questions. The examination takes place on the final afternoon of the course. Delegates need to achieve a pass mark of 60% overall, a distinction mark is set at 80%. Delegates MUST have gained the SAM Essentials qualification in order to be eligible to take the PCSAM exam.
Training Venue
A dedicated residential training centre in Bedfordshire is used for all software asset management training courses. URM believes that this type of venue provides the ideal distraction-free environment for an intensive and stimulating learning experience. Ideas and thoughts can be shared, not only with course trainers, but with other like-minded business continuity management professionals during classroom time and outside hours whilst socialising in relaxed surroundings.
