CISMP Training Course - What to expect
"An excellent balance between theory, practice and anecdotal input"
CISMP Course, March 20105 Day residential course
In line with the requirements of BCS Professional Certifications (previously ISEB), 40 hours of information security training (including a 2 hour exam on Friday afternoon) are provided by URM during the 5 days of the course.
The Certificate in Information Management Principles (CISMP) course comprises a mixture of PowerPoint presentations, discussions, Q&A sessions, exercises, walkthroughs of worked examples and mock exams.
"No better way to prepare for the exam, and a good forum to learn from real life examples (both from the trainer and other delegates)"
CISMP Course, April 2011Training Material
Delegates who attend URM's CISMP course will receive a training pack containing copies of all course slides along with comprehensive supporting notes. All slides and supporting notes have been approved by BCS Professional Certifications and act both as a revision tool for the examination and as useful post course reference material.
Examination
The CISMP examination is a two hour multiple choice paper. The examination takes place on the final afternoon of the course. Delegates need to achieve a pass mark of 65%, a distinction is set at 80%.
Course Venue
Dedicated residential training centres in Bedfordshire and Berkshire are used for all public schedule, information security, business continuity and risk management training courses. URM believe such a venue provides the ideal distraction-free environment for both an intensive and stimulating learning experience. Ideas and thoughts can be shared, not only with course trainers, but with other like-minded security professionals during classroom time and outside hours whilst socialising in relaxed surroundings.
"The course is split into manageable chunks so nothing is overwhelming and even the most technical chapters are made easy to understand"
