One Day 'Introduction to Risk Management' Training Course
Objective:
Through a series of exercises and presentations, this course provides delegates with an understanding of all aspects of risk management.
High Level Course Outline:
Session 1 – What language is used in risk assessment?
The first session explains the different types of risk assessment that can be conducted and the benefits and weaknesses of each type.
Session 2 – How do I identify risks within my organisation?
The second session investigates how to identify risks within an organisation and explains the key components of risk i.e. including the identification and ownership of assets and the assessment of threats and vulnerabilities.
Session 3 – How do I conduct a likelihood analysis and a business impact analysis?
This session investigates the key attributes that make up risk and assesses the different methods of deciding on appropriate likelihood and business impact methods whilst ensuring the relevant individuals are involved.
Session 4 – What is risk evaluation and how is it carried out?
How to calculate risk is often a difficult issue for many organisations. There is a fine line between overstating and underestimating risk levels. This session examines different ideas and approaches for evaluating risk and offers tips and advice on selecting the most appropriate method.
Session 5 – How do I treat risks once they have been identified?
Once a risk has been identified, the risk must be mitigated (or accepted). This section investigates how risk can be treated, how to pick controls and how to follow up once controls have been implemented.
