Overview

Ultima Risk Management (URM) Limited is dedicated to providing high quality cost effective consultancy and training in the areas of business continuity, information security, risk management, data protection and PCI.

The company was formed out of the Risk Management operating division of Ultima Business Solutions, one of the UKs leading IT infrastructure solution providers. URM's team of information security and business continuity consultants consists of some of the most experienced professionals in the UK.

The mission of URM, through both its consultancy and training services, is to assist organisations to 'get the balance right' in the areas of information security, business continuity, IT service management and data protection. There are a number of different perspectives to getting the balance right but one of the most important is the concept of achieving the optimum management system. By optimum, we are looking to assist organisations achieve the level of security and business continuity that is commensurate with the objectives and goals of the business as a whole (including meeting all associated legal compliance requirements) at an affordable price. This is where the collective experiences and pragmatic approaches of URM consultants come into their own; ensuring that the right level of resources (time, money and people) are committed to implementing the most appropriate solution.

URM is highly experienced at assisting organisations comply, or certify, with the ISO 27001 and BS 25999 standards (has assisted over 60 organisations achieve these standards). With the introduction of ISO 22301, URM is currently assisting a number of organisations prepare to certify against this new international business continuity management standard. In addition, URM is also a Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessor (PCI QSA) which means that it has been certified by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) to assess organisations' compliance to PCI DSS.

URM's internal information security management system is certified to ISO 27001.
