URM and the Chartered Institue of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) are delivering a series of workshops which will provide a detailed understanding of the key concepts which underpin security of information and personal data.
Never before has information security figured so highly on the organisation’s agenda, following the recent spate of data loss incidents. The long term implications on public sector projects (including Transformational Government, Information Sharing Databases and drive for more personalised services) could be huge, unless organisations develop more coherent strategies and take urgent action to ensure databases are secure and procedures robust.
These workshops have been specifically developed to help ensure public sector organisations are protected from serious breaches of information security and are fully compliant with all legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
The sessions will be highly interactive and will make use of current research, case study examples and participants' input to enhance the learning experience.
