ITIL & ISO 20000 Initial Assessment and gap analysis

The important point to consider when implementing any framework or Standard is that the recommendations contained within it are based on best practice guidelines. It is ineveitable that an organisations existing policies/procedures will incorporate some element of best practice. It is necessary to establish a baseline of the organisations existing processes - this should be conducted with a gap analysis.

The objective of this gap analysis is to identify areas of weakness and therefore where the organisation should focus effort and resources. Also, any future improvement can be measured against this baseline. URM’s team of consultants have extensive experience of conducting gap analysis.
